light snow

It's lightly snowing outside, and I'm happily indoors catching up on my class reading, making notes, and studying for my last-first midterm of my BSW career!
As some of you may know, I've recently signed up for my first yoga class - Yoga 101 at my university gym. I felt it was a big, scary step to take, and I'd put it off for almost 4 years. But I decided to just go pay and sign up, as the student rates are good, and as an employee, I'm supposed to promote the classes we offer! And we all know that once you put money down... you may as well go and make the most of it, or you'll lose that money.
So I've been going for 3 weeks. This was the first week I went to both classes (there are two a week) because my schedule was a bit clear. I remember being SO SORE after my first class, it seemed that all my muscle groups hurt. I still feel a bit of something in my back now, but for the most part, my muscles are happy :) I'm pleased to say that I've noticed some improvement already, comparing my performance in class now to when I started. Or it may just be me making things up. At the very least, I know what the general pattern of the class is, and what sun salutations actually ARE, and how your breathing is supposed to match. So I'm getting more out of it, and I'm so, so glad I signed up.

I've been quite busy with school and placement. I've cleared my schedule around for this weekend, thinking I'd go up to London. I finally have a semi-free Friday, and I can't believe how well everything worked out, that I have NOTHING I need to do this weekend, so I can stay in with my Community book and learn it thoroughly :)
Next week is Reading week, and I'm still not sure what I'm going to be busy doing.... I just hope that the snowflakes lightly falling today add up and we can enjoy a little bit of winter this year.

Should I be careful what I wish for?!

Have great weekends, everyone!

  1. Yay for yoga! I feel like the more you do it the more physical and emotional benefit you get. Keep going and inspiring me to go too!
